Fall 2017 Capstone Exhibitions and Portfolio Reviews

Joe Mack Wilson Building | Fine Arts Gallery

School of Art and Design students completing their Bachelors of Fine Arts are required to participate in a professional showcase of their work. The results contain art of various disciplines and materials representing individual styles and high levels of conceptual ability. This semester's series features students from concentrations that include art education, drawing and painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking, and graphic communications in three separate exhibitions or portfolio reviews.

Exhibition I: Art Education
October 24th – November 9th
Reception: October 30, 5-7pm

Exhibition II: Studio Art
November 14th – November 30th
Reception: November 27, 5-7pm

All KSU student artists are invited to partcipate in this long-running campus tradition. Enter your artwork and compete for Juror’s Choice Awards (First Prize $250, Second Prize $150, and Third Prize $100) or one of three Purchase Awards of $250 each!

Submission Deadline: Monday Dec. 11, 2017
Entires must be submitted digitally and a submission fee is required. Students enrolled for at least one semester at Kennesaw State University between Summer semester 2017 and Spring semester 2018 are eligible. Go to ksuvisions.com for the full Prospectus with additional details and requirements.

2018 Juror: April Borchelt
April received her BFA from the School of Art and Design at Kennesaw State University in 2014. She is currently lives in Atlanta, GA and works as a full-time 2d Illustrator at Hi-Rez Studios for Paladins. Her past clients include Nickelodeon where she did Background Paintings for Spongebob Squarepants, and she worked as the lead artist for Puzzles by Joe on Clutter VI. In her free time, she paints pet portraits, Magic Card alters, and does commissions of many kinds! Her work has also been exhibited in multiple galleries around Atlanta, published in GameInformer Magazine, and featured in childrens books.
