As a part of its major debut exhibition, the Zuckerman Museum of Art presented an interpretation of the Salon tradition. Building on the 19th-century European style of hanging artwork from floor to ceiling, Salon Style Highlights featured objects from the KSU permanent collection alongside pieces additional loaned works from the contemporary artists in See Through Walls. Artists from the collection included Thomas H. Benton, Howard Finster, Athos Menaboni, William Sonntag, and Karel Appel, and represented only two percent of the collection housed at the ZMA.
